Easter and Maine Maple Sunday

I know its been while since I blogged, but I hate posting too many with no pictures. I Need A New Camera!
Last weekend Auntie Boo and Shane came to see us. I have some quick pics of Ryan fingerpainting. There will be more to come when Becs goes back to school and can send some from her camera.
This weekend NeNe came to see us. We decorated eggs on Saturday night and Ryan and I dyed our hands many, many colors. She took some pics of us on Easter morning. We had fun helping Ryan find his eggs, his books, his new pajamas, and some clothes. Then we went on a hunt for some great sugar houses.
We ended up at Merrifield farm and it was wonderful. We all had ice cream with maple syrup. Ryan and Corey went on an Ox cart ride, and we nearly froze. Who has ever heard of a frigid Easter. Oh yeah, anyone from Maine!
Happy Easter!

Phew!

Corey and I woke up at 6:40 to get him to work by 6:45. After rushing through helping Ry get dressed, he looked at me and said, "Phew, Mom. That was close!" P.S. The squeaky, ouchy mouse was back this morning!

Squeaky Mouse

Ryan hasn't been feeling well since Sunday when he was up all night with a runny nose. Wednesday he barely took a nap and took forever to fall asleep because of a severe cough. So, I made an appointment with Dr. Tetreault to be sure his pneumonia wasn't coming back. We went to the office to find that he has an ear infection (and a cold)! I felt silly and I headed off to get his prescription. At no point did Ryan tug on his ears, cry about pain, or even slightly indicate is ear hurt. Imagine my surprise when he woke up from nap this afternoon (after his visit to the doctor's office) and said...
"Ouch, Mommy. Ryan (more like Yi-yan) hear squeaky mouse. Squeak, squeak. Ouchy mouse!"
Have you ever heard a more adorable way to say my ear hurts and its ringing? And why did he have to way until after I took him to the doctor's to tell me that?

so sad

"Mommy, where my Kenzie? Where Kaelyn?"

The girls are here!

Bethany brought Kaelyn and Mackenzie for a visit and in less than 24 hours they have already more than entertained us!
Story A: Kenzie is sitting between Mommy's legs eating yogurt. Oscar comes within 1 foot of Mom. Mackenzie says...
"Don't eat my Mommy, kitty."

Story B: All 3 kids are playing in Ryan's room when Auntie B dares to take a bathroom break ... Kaelyn: "Mommy, I smell skunk." Bethany: thinking in her head, 'Great, another poopy diaper.' Kaelyn: "Ryan, Kenzie, come out!" "Mommy, I see smoke!" Bethany: thinks .... !O@()#(@*&#@(*&@ Runs into the room and sees...

The great thing is not that she recognizes smoke, but that she saved the kids first!

Its snowing in Maine...Again!

Well, we woke up to another new snowstorm this morning. We are supposed to get another 6 or so inches on top of the 4 or so from last night and the 9 million or so from the last few months.

BOO!!!!

The one benefit of the snow is that I took Ryan sledding out in the yard. We took a few runs together down the big hill and then he took some by himself. He loved it and had to do everything by himself. It wore him out to climb up the hill, but he did it. When we moved closer to where Daddy was working on the deck, I remembered I had my camera. The first picture is the enjoyment on his face as he tries to climb back up the hill after a run. The second one was taken right before he told me it was time to go inside and watch TV. I also took a short video.
