After Gamma and Dampa left, Uncle Chris and Auntie Ali came up for a few days. They taught Ryan some things while they were here. After witnessing Corey and I kissing for probably the millionth time of his life, our son told us to ...
"Get a room!"
LOVELY!

Gamma and Dampa's Visit

Gamma and Dampa came to visit us this week. They kept Ryan home from school and spent two days playing and catching up. Ryan had a ball and I took some pics when we were saying good-bye.

Sick

Well, its my turn. Its 7:30am and I am waiting for Corey to come get Ryan and take him to his first day back at school so I can go back to bed. Despite Mommy feeling like Ryan did all last week, he was in good spirits this morning. As soon as I told him he was going to school today, he began dancing the happy dance in the 2nd picture. Within a few minutes he became my dinosaur (1st picture). Just sharing the cuteness of Ry!

President's Day

Well, Ryan and I stayed home today, while Corey felt well enough to go to work. I finished cleaning, even though I think I am catching Corey's flu! Ryan is doing a bit better today and I think he slept a bit better last night. However, he is still a bit of a beast. When he isn't hacking or throwing temper tantrums, he is curled up on the couch with his favorite toy, the fire truck. "Wee woo, wee woo," is the sound of fire trucks, just in case you were wondering.

Sunday, Lazy Sunday

In answer to everyone's questions, Ryan is feeling better but we aren't out of the woods yet. He spent all night hacking last night, so he is Mr. Grouchy today. However, I got a smile out of him when I again let him sleep in Mommy's bed, this time, by himself. Corey is feeling a bit better as well, even if I do have to listen to complaints about his poor throat and glands again today. I am spending the day spring cleaning (in February) because we finally have visitors coming to Maine. Did you know that if you don't pull your fridge or your stove up more often than every 6 months, things can get a bit yucky! That's my story for today. In the future there probably won't be as many boring posts about cleaning house, but while this is new and fun, you will have to deal with the random boring-ness!

The men in my life are ill!

So Ryan has Pneumonia in his left lung. I gave him his first dose of Zithromax yesterday, which he promptly vomited everywhere. Lovely! I took this pic of him sleeping in Mommy's bed (his favorite place in the world to nap) last night when I got home from work. Today the medicine started to take effect and he was feeling much better. We decided to have family naptime at 12:30 today in Mommy and Daddy's bed which just about made his day. Until 1:15 when Ryan began a conversation with me after the both of us tried, unsuccessfully, to sleep.
R: What Daddy doing?
M: Snoring.
R: Daddy, wake up.
D: snore
R: Mommy, Daddy wake up.
M: Daddy is not going to wake up, but we have to go to sleep.
R: Mommy, sleep Ryan's bed.
Sometimes I wish I had my own bed.

My First Blog

Welcome to my blog. I am going to try to use this to let those who love us know all the mundane, and not so mundane, daily goings on of the Bernard Family. ENJOY! I am going to start by posting my oldest video of Ry. Love it!
