Conversation: Ryan: What is that? Mommy: A vegetable garden. Ryan: Why? Mommy: So they can grow vegetables to eat. Ryan: Why? Mommy: It is cheaper than buying them at the grocery store. Ryan: Why? Mommy: When you get them at the grocery store they cost more because the vegetables have to travel and the farmers need to make a profit. It is also healthier. Ryan: Why? Mommy: Because they probably don't use pesticides. Ryan: Why? Mommy: Because they want their children to be healthy and their planet to be healthy. Ryan: Why? Mommy: Because they want their planet to be healthy for their grandkids. Ryan: Why? Mommy: Because we love you guys so much. Ryan: Why? Mommy: Because I carried you around for 9 months in my tummy and when you were born I fell in love with you! Ryan: Mommy, you can't eat me.

Conversation on the way to the airshow...
Background: Ryan is 3 1/2 years old and has done nothing but ask why for the last 2 months. He is driving both Corey and I a bit bonkers and we have begun to ask him why all the time in response.
